Hi all – please find information about next week’s club runs below.
Christmas Party: Phil Herd, our Social Secretary, has arranged the Club Christmas do for Friday, 10 December at Chilwell Golf Club. Please let him know via his Facebook post or by email if you would like tickets, £15 each. Disco and late bar to 12 Midnight.
Committee Meeting: The next meeting of the Club Committee is on Tuesday, 14th September. The Committee is keen to hear the views of the membership and if there is anything you would like to bring to our attention please send an email to the Secretary by Friday, 10th September.
Good luck to: everyone doing the Peak Rail 7 on Saturday, and those racing the Wilne 10K on Sunday. Enjoy your race(s)!

Club runs
Friday, 3 September: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. The run will be the Toton Sidings route, around 10K (6.2 miles). Sadly no beer stop this week. Toilets and changing rooms are available at Chilwell Olympia.
Saturday, 4 September: See you at Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns are also available on the weblink. Sunday, 5 September: Please meet at 8.50 am for a 9.00 am start from Stanton Gate, Moorbridge Lane.
Tuesday, 7 September: Speed session – details will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm and please arrive early to warm up if appropriate. Most of these sessions are at the Bramcote Track, parking on Moor Lane NG9 3FH.
Wednesday, 8 September: please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia Penny and Chris have a group of Improvers doing a 5K loop setting off at the same time. Gaby Neher is also leading trail runs most Thursdays, 6.30 pm. Details will be put on Facebook. |

A brief message has been received from Matlock AC to say “thank you for supporting the Peak Rail 7 'Runner versus Steam' event this Saturday in such great numbers. Your entry of 23 runners is the largest turnout of any club, I hope you all enjoy the event and fingers crossed you all beat the train!” |

News from the Keyworth Turkey Trot people: they are planning to hold the race on Sunday, 12 December with entries opening on Monday, 11 October.
Sad news from the organisers of the Dovedale Dash that the race cannot go ahead this year, as the National Trust and Peak Park would wish to limit numbers to 200 (and there are usually around 1500 participants so this would be impossible to do). However, the 2022 Dash is planned for Sunday, 2 October 2022.
Cross Country 2021/22:
The first North Midlands XC League race is due to take place at Markeaton Park on Saturday, 16th October. Further details to follow nearer the time.
Relays – please let Charlie know if you are interested in being in a team for any of these relays below for him to gauge interest/team planning.
Saturday, 23 October: Midlands Relays – (likely to be West Midlands)
Saturday, 30 October: British Masters Relays (age 35+ only), West Park, Long Eaton – trophies to defend here!
Saturday, 6 November: English National Relays, Berry Hill Park, Mansfield. As this is a national event, the Club will cover half your entry fee (there is a limit on the number of teams we can enter, so please express your interest in this early!)
