Hi all – details of runs and news below. Congratulations to everyone who ran the Retford Half last week – some great PBs and County Champs medals too, plus a lovely meet up after in the Star!
Membership: Many thanks to everyone who has so far renewed club membership. A FEW MEMBERS HAVE STILL NOT RENEWED and payments will be made to England Athletics at the end of this month for 2022/23. The fee remains £20 and the preferred payment method is bank transfer: Account name Beeston AC, sort code 40-10-06 account number 62266253. Plans for the Trent 5 2022: The Trent 5 provisionally be on Wednesday, 25 May. We are organising a Beeston AC takeover at parkrun on 9 April for advertising the race and handing out leaflets. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered.

Club runs
Friday, 11 March: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. The run will be the Chilwell/Toton route, around 5.6 miles. Toilets and changing rooms are available at Chilwell Olympia.
Saturday, 12 March: See you at Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns (including Wollaton Hall) are also available on the web link.
Sunday, 13 March: John cannot lead the run on Sunday so if anyone would like to volunteer to take charge please get in touch either via this email address or via John’s post on Facebook. Hopefully the meeting time will be 8.50 for 9.00 am depart, venue to be advised.
Tuesday, 15 March: Speed session – details will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm and please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 16 March: please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Neil will post the routes on Facebook as usual.
Gaby Neher is also leading trail runs on Thursdays, 6.25 for 6.30 pm which usually start by the Moor Lane running track, NG9 3FH. Details to follow on Facebook.

Notts Fell Championships: entries are still open for the Wolf’s Pit race on 20 March, 11.00 am, distance 5.6 miles. The race limit is 250 so places will go soon. See https://www.nottsaaa.org/landingpage/fell-county-champs-2022 for information.
Further information is available from Dicky Henderson on the Notts AAA website, including details on parking and club teams (clubs can have a senior and vets team aged 40+ which must be nominated before the race). Age categories will be: 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
