Update on club runs from Beeston AC

Hi all – hoping you and family have had a Merry Christmas and all the best for a Happy New Year.

Club Runs:

Unfortunately this is an update following yesterday’s announcement that Nottinghamshire is in Tier 4 as from today, 31 December meaning that Club runs cannot take place at present. As soon as we move back to a tier in which Club runs can happen, I will email an update.

The updated guidance from England Athletics applicable from 31 December is available on the EA website and is summarised below for a tier 4 area:

Activity

Tier 4 (Stay at Home)

Outdoor informal activity

Can happen only if from same household/bubble or with one person from another household in a public place

Outdoor competitions

Cannot take place

Outdoor sport/activity events (organised) including organised group walks

Cannot take place. People can only exercise outdoors if from same household/bubble or with one person from another household in a public place

Travelling to take part in sport/ activity (within area)

You can travel a short distance within your Tier 4 area to exercise. This should be done locally wherever possible

Indoor guidance etc is also available but not applicable to our Club.
