Hello everyone – details of news and runs below.
Many thanks to everyone who has volunteered to marshal at the Notts 10: good luck to everyone racing it this coming Saturday. You can still enter on the day for £20.
Well done: to everyone who ran the Retford Half Marathon on 5 March; some great PBs (see photo) and times!
Notts County Championships Fell race, 19th March 2023: information about the race is now on the Notts AAA website at https://www.nottsaaa.org/landingpage/fell-county-champs-2022 . Please note mandatory kit requirements.
Membership Fee Reminder: fees need to be paid to England Athletics at the beginning of April, so please send through your £20 if you have not already done so in order for your membership to be renewed for 2023/24. Club Runs
Thursday, 9 March: Gaby Neher leads trail runs on Thursdays, 6.20 for 6.30 pm, and the current meeting point is at the White Lion, Town Street, Bramcote. Please take a charged head or chest torch (not for much longer!), wear hi-viz and trail shoes.
Friday, 10 March: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Toilets and changing rooms are open. Please wear hi-viz/light clothing and bring a chest or head torch.
Saturday, 11 March: Beeston parkrun will be on at 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns including Wollaton Hall are also available on the web link.
Sunday, 12 March: Please check Facebook to see if there is a club run this Sunday.
Tuesday, 14 March, 6.30 pm, speed session: Run Leader Susan Wheatcroft; Tramalamadingdong, the final one! Meet at Cator Lane tram stop at 18:30 ready to start. We’ll do 4 x 400m, 2 x 800m and 4 x 400m.
Wednesday, 15 March: Please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Neil will post the routes on Facebook as usual.
