Hi all – details of news and runs below.
Dates for diaries: the Christmas Party will be on Friday, 16th December at Chilwell Manor Golf Club, £20 a ticket. This includes food and a disco. Please let Phil Herd know if you would like ticket(s).
The mystery pub crawl will be on Wednesday, 7th December. Further details to follow.
The AGM will take place on Wednesday, 9th November, at Beeston Marina. The Single Gravs Handicap will take place prior to the meeting. Please get in touch if you are interested in taking on the handicapper role, it’s good fun! Further information will appear on Facebook in due course.
Cross country race dates are below for the 2022/23 season.
Charlie is looking for members who would like to compete in the British Masters relays on Saturday, 29 October at West Park, Long Eaton. Legs are 3K, the women's V35+ and men’s 65+ race usually starts at 1.00 pm, and the men’s V35-44, V45-54 (both 5 legs) and V55-64 (4 legs) start at 2.00 pm. The Midland Masters relay championships are usually also incorporated and last year teams qualified for inclusion if at least one member of the team is a member of MMAC. It’s £6 a head and entries close 19th October. Please let Charlie know, either by contacting him through his email address or via his Facebook post if you would like to be included.

Club runs
Gaby Neher leads trail runs on Thursdays, 6.20 for 6.30 pm, and the current meeting point is at the White Lion, Town Street, Bramcote. Please comment on her Facebook post if you are intending to go. Please take a head / chest torch and wear light clothing as it is likely to be dark by the time the run has ended.
Friday, 23 September: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Toilets and changing rooms are open. The run will be the figure of 8 route in reverse round Attenborough Nature Reserve, around 5.5 miles.
Saturday, 24 September: Beeston parkrun is again CANCELLED for the next 3 weeks and won’t be on until 15 October as part of the course is being used for other events. Why not try another local parkrun? Wollaton Hall parkrun will be on, along with a number of other local parkruns.
Sunday, 25 September: NO Sunday run this week as it’s the Robin Hood Half Marathon – good luck if you are running and have a good time if you are supporting the runners!
Tuesday, 27 September: The speed session: these are usually at the Moor Lane running track, NG9 3FH in the summer months but the location will change as the darker nights approach. Further details of the session will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm; please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 28 September: Please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Neil will post the routes on Facebook as usual.
