Hi all – details of news and runs below.
Welcome to new member Eleanore Wisniewski Scott: happy running with Beeston AC!
Congratulations to everyone who successfully completed the HP Grand Prix series and the Ultra, 23K and 14K in Ambleside – some great results! Also well done to everyone who turned up for the Summer League 4 race at Worksop and the Black Rocks fell race last night, a very hot and dusty night for running!
Gaby Neher leads trail runs on Thursdays, 6.30 pm, and the current meeting point is at the White Lion, Town Street, Bramcote. Unfortunately, Gaby is NOT able to lead this week (get well soon Gaby) and she suggests that the regular runners still meet up and come up with a route.
Friday, 15 July: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Toilets and changing rooms are open. It’s the Attenborough Nature Reserve figure of 8 route this week, around 5.5 miles.
Saturday, 16 July: There is no Beeston parkrun on 16 July so happy touring! Wollaton Hall parkrun will be on – see https://www.parkrun.org.uk/wollatonhall/ for location details and information about other local parkruns.
Sunday, 17 July: As the forecast is for a very hot day today and conditions for running will be far from ideal there will be NO SUNDAY RUN at 9.00 am, but keep an eye on Facebook in case there is a post suggesting an earlier meeting time.
This is the day for the Holme Pierrepont RC 40th day celebrations. See https://www.hprcrun.com/40th-anniversary if you are interested.
Tuesday, 19 July: The speed session: these are usually at the Moor Lane running track, NG9 3FH (though there may sometimes be hills elsewhere!). Further details of the session will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm; please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 20 July: Please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Neil will post the routes on Facebook as usual.
This is also the day for the HP track races at Bingham so good luck to everyone who has entered.
