Hi everyone – details of news and runs below.
Congratulations to: John Evans and Salome Maybanks, the winners of this year’s Fell League! The presentation of the trophies will be at the Christmas Party.
The mystery pub crawl will be next Wednesday, 7th December. In order to let people plan their night the running order is as follows:
Mist Rolling Inn, Derby Road Whistle & Flute, Derby Road Falcon Inn, Canning Circus Sir John Borlase Warren, Canning Circus
We will be departing the Beeston Interchange at 6.30pm either on an Indigo or 36 depending on which comes first. We should be in the first pub by 7pm. Athletes are welcome to join in at any stage during the evening, it shouldn’t be difficult to find us!
The pubs are a mix of new ‘micro pubs’ and traditional boozers. All have been tested recently and serve excellent ales. A variety of food is available on nearby Alfreton Road.
Final call for tickets for the Christmas Party: Friday, 16th December at Chilwell Manor Golf Club, £20 a ticket. This includes food and a disco. Please let Phil Herd know if you would like ticket(s). Deadline for payment is Monday, 5 December.
Notts AAA XC County Championships:
Entries are now open for the Notts AAA Cross Country Championships, to be held in Markeaton Park, Derby on Saturday 7 January 2023 (not Shipley Country Park as previously advised). The Senior/Vet Women's race (approx 8 km) is at 11:55, the Senior/Vet Men's race (approx 10 km) is at 12:35.
To be eligible to take part you need to have been born in Nottinghamshire or to have lived in the county continuously for 9 months.
Entry is via https://www.nottsaaa.org/events/notts-aaa-xc-champs-2023 – you will need to create an account if you don't already have one.
(As usual, the championships are held in association with Derbyshire AAA and races are run with combined fields – if you are eligible for that county instead, you can enter their champs via race-results.co.uk and still get points in the club league.)
