Thank you to all those who have already signed up for the Summer Buffet and Get-Together on Sunday 29th July, 4.00 pm. It's not too late yet to put your name on the list and come and join your running friends at The Star for a summer celebration. Unfortunately the ‘Frothy 5’ is being postponed for the time being. If you haven't already done so and would like to join us please add your name on the Facebook post in Beeston AC or send me a message at janel4030@yahoo.co.uk

4. Well done and thanks

What a fantastic week of racing! Many congratulations to Sonka Reimers who was first lady and beat the ladies’ course record at the Hardwick 10K last Thursday. There were also some fantastic performances last night at The Run (results here); many thanks to EVRC for a great evening and the foresight to have a race next to a good pub.

Many thanks to Catherine Wilson and Andy Mothershaw, who organised a great run last Sunday from Hathersage and to Sophie and Rich Eadsforth for a great party afterwards; we will miss Catherine and Andy and wish them all the best for their future in New Zealand.

We will also miss Caroline Waterhouse and her partner Julian, who are moving to Ashbourne – all the best and hope you will still keep in touch and do the odd Sunday run with us. A final farewell also to Pedro and his family, we will miss you at parkrun.

5. Bingham Track Session, Wednesday 15th August from Nottinghamshire Athletics Network

Information is attached about an evening of track races to be held at Bingham Track on Wed 15th August. These races are aimed at encouraging road runners who compete in the Notts AAA Road Race League to have a go at running over accurately measured distances on a track. These races are NOT promoted for experienced track runners and entries from juniors are NOT encouraged. A maximum of 20 runners will be accepted in each race. Entries should be made by email and will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

If you would like to do this please see the poster for details of how to enter; a few of us went last year and had an enjoyable evening. The evening will end with a 4 x 400m relay event, which should be fun!

6. Autumn Trip
