Criteria for Beeston AC ‘Athlete of the Year’

This policy sets out the eligibility criteria and process for selecting the Beeston AC ‘Athlete of the Year’.

Criteria

The award exists to recognise a member’s outstanding achievement over the previous 12 months.

This can be for:

  • Individual athletic performance and or
  • Contribution to Beeston AC

Individuals must be First Claim members of Beeston AC

Process for shortlisting and selecting the ‘Athlete of the Year’

The membership will be asked for nominations 6 weeks prior to the AGM and a deadline set two weeks before to allow the voting process to take place

Potential nominees should be proposed and seconded by fellow First Claim members of Beeston AC.

The proposer should send details of the nomination to the Secretary including a brief resume of why they feel the individual deserves the award.

On receipt of the nominations, the Committee of Beeston AC will shortlist of up to 6 candidates and organise a ballot of the membership to select the ‘Athlete of the Year’.

It should be recognised that ‘Athlete of the Year’ does not have to be awarded each year.

The award will be made at the AGM.
