Hi all – details of news and runs below.
Congratulations to everyone who tackled the long, hard races last weekend – including the 40-mile Dukeries, Hathersage Hurtle and the Leaden Boot.
Trent 5: Well done to everyone who volunteered or ran at the Trent 5 last night; what a great night and massive kudos to the Club! It was lovely to see so many people having a good time. Many thanks also to Kim and team at the Vic for the lovely food after! Results already available here.
A few volunteers are still needed for the Summer League 3 on Wednesday, 15th June. Thanks again to those who have already offered to marshal at Wollaton Park. If you aren’t on Facebook please email me and I will pass on your name.
Entries are now open for the Castle Rock 10K on Friday, 19 August, 7 pm at the University of Nottingham: entries available here.

Message from Holme Pierrepont RC: “HPRC Track Champs are finally back this year! They'll be held on Wednesday 20th July, 7-9 pm at Bingham [NG13 8BL]. Same time and basic format as previous years, slight shuffle in the order of events but otherwise same low-key friendly atmosphere. Officials in place so will go on PO10 etc for those who are keen! Seniors & masters only please. Order of events this year is 800m, 200m, 1500m, 400m, 3000m. Entries are now open, so please spread the word amongst the Beeston bunch! Feel free to collate entries at your end and submit in one go, or if easier just get people to email me [James] directly to track@hprcrun.co.uk with their: Name; event(s); 2021/2022 PB or predicted time(s). Entries close 12th July. As with previous years, first dibs go to HP athletes but no 'limit' to how many from Beeston would like to enter and of course athletes can enter as many events as they like (oh yeh and obviously it's free!).”
Some of us went a few years back and it was a great evening – to be recommended.

Club runs
Friday, 27 May: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. The run will be to the Beeston parkrun route and back via The Strand. Toilets and changing rooms are available at Chilwell Olympia.
Saturday, 28 May: See you at Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns including Wollaton Hall are also available on the web link.
Sunday, 29 May: Please meet at 8.50 am for a 9.00 am start from Stanton Gate, Moorbridge Lane.
Tuesday, 31 May: The speed session: these are usually at the Moor Lane running track, NG9 3FH (though there may sometimes be hills elsewhere). Further details of the session will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm; please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 1 June: Please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Neil will post the routes on Facebook as usual.
Gaby Neher is also leading trail runs on Thursdays, 6.30 pm, meeting point to be confirmed on Facebook – it is currently the White Lion on Town Street, Bramcote.

5K Newstead Abbey Dash (29 July 2022) https://www.redhillroadrunners.com/our-races still places available 10K Formula One, 19 August, 7.00 pm, University of Nottingham Marathon, Leicester 9 October No 10-mile race for 2022.
Notts County Development League: The next meeting is on 29 May at Newark, and 26 June and 4 September at Mansfield. Full details are at https://www.nottsaaa.org/landingpage/notts-county-development-league. These events include a 3 x 1000m relay (5 x 200m for all 3 so for example each runner would run for 30 seconds and have 60 seconds rest). There will also be a 5K parlaaf, each runner running 200m, handing over then crossing the infield to resume start position.
