Hi all – information about next week’s club runs and other news is below.
I hope everybody enjoyed the Mystery Pub Crawl – a lot of fun was had during our visit to Sawley!
New Committee member: Steve Mason has been appointed as Member Representative on the Committee following Geoff Pennington’s resignation. Many thanks to Geoff for all he has done for the Club during his time on the Committee.
Christmas Party: next Friday, 10 December. This is at Chilwell Manor Golf Club and will start from 7.00 pm, food from 8.30 pm.
The Notts AAA Cross Country Championships 2022 will be held on Saturday, 8th January at Berry Hill Park, Mansfield. Please apply on the Notts AAA site. The Senior/Vet women’s race is approximately 8K and is at 11.55 am, with the Senior/Vet men running 10K at approximately 12.35 pm. The closing date for entries is Sunday, 12 December and it is £6 to enter. |

Club runs
Friday, 3 December: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. The run will be the figure of 8 route round Attenborough, so please bring your head torch/chest light. Toilets and changing rooms are available at Chilwell Olympia.
Saturday, 4 December: See you at Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns (including Wollaton Hall) are also available on the web link. The North Midlands Cross Country race is also on at Shipley Park this afternoon. Sunday, 5 December: Please meet at 8.50 am for a 9.00 am start from Stanton Gate, Moorbridge Lane.
Tuesday, 7 December: Speed session – details will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm and please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 8 December: please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia . No improvers for now as Penny and Chris are taking a break. Gaby Neher is also leading trail runs most Thursdays, 6.30 pm which usually start by the Moor Lane running track, NG9 3FH. |

Holme Pierrepont RC are organising the Christmas Relays on Tuesday, 28 December at 10.30 – venue HP Country Park (car parking charges payable). Is anyone interested in this? It’s £20 per team – 2 x male, 2 x female. Get thinking up those team names! The run is about 4K.
Cross Country 2021/22:
The remaining North Midlands XC League races are: Shipley Country Park, Heanor (4 December) and Berry Hill Park, Mansfield (15 January). The ladies’ race will be at 13.50 (6K) and the men’s race (10K) at 14.20.
East Midlands XC League dates, 11.00 am start (2 laps for men, 1 for ladies:
Sunday, 23 January, Holme Pierrepont Country Park Sunday 30 January – Bramcote Hills Park Sunday 6 February – Colwick Woods Sunday 13 February – West Park, Long Eaton.
