Hi all – information about next week’s club runs and other news is below.
Good luck to everyone doing the BMAF relays at West Park, Long Eaton on Saturday – the ladies/V65+ men set off at 12 Noon with the rest of the men following at 1.45 pm. Come and support us if you are able to make it!
Good luck also to everyone running the Worksop Half Marathon on Sunday. Vote for Athlete of the Year: an email with the voting link and information about the 7 athletes nominated has been sent out today to all paid up first claim members. The closing date will be Sunday 8 November, Midnight. Please can you get in touch if you don't receive the email (the email addresses were from profiles in England Athletics which hopefully will be up to date). Single Gravs handicap, Wednesday, 10th November 6.30 pm: this will be held prior to the AGM, which will be at The Marina. Dave Cross is the guest handicapper. If you would like to run or volunteer to be a marshal, please leave a message on the Facebook post or send me a message to pass on if you aren’t on Facebook. It will be in the dark so a head or chest torch would be a good idea.
Christmas Party: The Club Christmas party will be held on Friday, 10 December at Chilwell Golf Club. Please let Phil Herd know via the Facebook post or by email if you would like tickets, £15 each. Disco and late bar to 12 Midnight.

Club runs
Friday, 29 October: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. The run will be the Toton/Chilwell route, around 5,5 miles. Toilets and changing rooms are available at Chilwell Olympia.
Saturday, 30 October: See you at Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns (including Wollaton Hall) are also available on the weblink. Sunday, 31 October: Please meet at 8.50 am for a 9.00 am start from Stanton Gate, Moorbridge Lane.
Tuesday, 2 November: Speed session – details will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm and please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 3 November: please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia Penny and Chris have a group of Improvers setting off at the same time and we would welcome new runners along – we are starting a 5K to 10K programme – it will be week 4. Gaby Neher is also leading trail runs most Thursdays, 6.30 pm. This week the meeting point is at the Moor Lane track, Bramcote from 6.25 pm (with head/chest torch). There is a hill! |

Cross Country 2021/22:
The North Midlands XC League races are: Wicksteed Park, Kettering (13 November), Shipley Country Park, Heanor (4 December) and Berry Hill Park, Mansfield (15 January). The ladies’ race will be at 13.50 (6K) and the men’s race (10K) at 14.20.
News about the Midland 7 and 5-Mile Cross-Country Races – these will be held on Saturday 20th November 2021 at Bulwell Hall. Further information to follow.
