Summer League 3 on 15th June: Thank you very much to everyone who volunteered to marshal, and well done to everyone who ran on a very warm evening. A big thank you (again!) to Kim and crew for organising hot dogs (and beer) for all at the Vic after!
Trent Lock Handicap, 22 June: The Trent Lock handicap event is next Wednesday (full details below) – please let Simon know if you wish to run (preferably before next Wednesday) or marshal (either on the Facebook post or by email). Drinks after at the Marina.
Holme Pierrepont RC would love us to join their 40th anniversary celebrations – they are organising a relay on 17th July around the Vale of Belvoir – see https://www.hprcrun.com/40th-anniversary for full details. Dave Cross has put a post on Facebook to see if anyone is interested.

Club runs
Gaby Neher leads trail runs on Thursdays, 6.30 pm, and the current meeting point is at the White Lion, Town Street, Bramcote. It’s a tour of knitting hot spots tonight!
Friday, 17 June: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Toilets and changing rooms are open. Neil is not available so he is looking for someone else to lead and so far there are no volunteers so please check Facebook to see if this is going ahead. Alternatively, those who turn up can decide on a route when they meet.
Saturday, 18 June: See you at Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns including Wollaton Hall are also available on the web link.
Good luck to Gaby Neher and Neil Byford who are setting out on the Summer Spine Challenger today – for those who love dot watching, Gaby is 91, Neil is 19 and the link is here.
Sunday, 19 June: Please meet at 8.50 am for a 9.00 am start from Stanton Gate, Moorbridge Lane.

Tuesday, 21 June: The speed session: these are usually at the Moor Lane running track, NG9 3FH (though there may sometimes be hills elsewhere!). Further details of the session will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm; please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 22 June: No club run tonight as it’s the Trent Lock handicap race; please meet on Trent Vale Road, NG9 1ND. The run is 10.3 miles long and runners declare to Simon Elliott how long they expect to take to run the course to Trent Lock and back without the aid of a timing device. The first runners will be off at 6.00 pm, with all runners to finish by 8.00 pm. Drinks and presentation after at the Marina Bar. Toilets should be available at the Beeston FC Clubhouse from 5.45 pm. Please let Simon know if you wish to run, preferably before Wednesday (either on the Facebook post or by email) and hand in your predicted finish time either before or on the night.

Message from Holme Pierrepont RC: “HPRC Track Champs are finally back this year! They'll be held on Wednesday 20th July 7-9 pm at Bingham [NG13 8BL]. Same time and basic format as previous years, slight shuffle in the order of events but otherwise same low-key friendly atmosphere. Officials in place so will go on PO10 etc for those who are keen! Seniors & masters only please. Order of events this year is 800m, 200m, 1500m, 400m, 3000m. Entries are now open, so please spread the word amongst the Beeston bunch! Feel free to collate entries at your end and submit in one go, or if easier just get people to email me [James] directly to track@hprcrun.co.uk with their: Name; event(s); 2021/2022 PB or predicted time(s). Entries close 12th July. As with previous years, first dibs go to HP athletes but no 'limit' to how many from Beeston would like to enter and of course athletes can enter as many events as they like (oh yeh and obviously it's free!).”
Some of us went a few years back and it was a very enjoyable evening, well worth going if you want to try track or go for a PB.
