Runs with Beeston AC

Hi all – details of next week’s club runs are below.

Well done: to everyone who ran or marshalled for the Trent Lock Handicap! The person who was closest to their predicted time was Sophie Eadsforth; congratulations Sophie! Results are attached.

Christmas Party: Phil Herd, our Social Secretary, has arranged the Club Christmas do for Friday, 10 December at Chilwell Manor Golf Club. Please let him know via his Facebook post or by email if you would like tickets, £15 each. Disco and late bar to 12 Midnight.

Robin Hood Half Marathon: the free entries donated by Rob Evans have gone to Caitlin Bradbury and Andrew Taplin – congratulations both, and thanks Rob!

Club runs

Friday, 20 August:  6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. The run will be the Beeston parkrun route via The Strand (around 5.75 miles). Toilets and changing rooms are available.

Saturday, 21 August: See you at Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. Details of other local parkruns are also available on the web link. Good news: the Boathouse Cafe will be open!

Sunday, 22 August: Please meet at 8.50 am for a 9.00 am start from Stanton Gate, Moorbridge Lane. John is back in charge – thanks again to Chris Robson for organising a trip to Clifton Grove last week.

Tuesday, 24 August: Speed session – details will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm and please arrive early to warm up if appropriate. Most of these sessions are at the Bramcote Track, parking on Moor Lane NG9 3FH.

Wednesday, 25 August: please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia Penny and Chris have a group of Improvers doing a 5K loop setting off at the same time and we would welcome new runners along – no one will get left behind.

Gaby Neher is also leading trail runs most Thursdays, 6.30 pm. Details will be put on Facebook.
