Hi all – details of news and runs below.
Well done: to everyone who raced at the weekend, especially our Manchester Marathoners who all did so well!
Dates for diaries: The provisional date for the Trent Lock Handicap is Wednesday, 22 June, and for the Double Gravs the date is Wednesday, 10 August.
Club Membership Fees: These have been paid for everyone who has renewed their membership. Hopefully you will have received an email from England Athletics in confirmation. If not, please let me know (please also check spam/junk folders just in case).
Notts AAA Track and Field Championships: Entries for this year's Nottinghamshire AAA Track and Field Championships are now open. This will be at Moorways Stadium, Derby. All entries are online only via the Notts AAA website. Entry links can be found on the homepage www.nottsaaa.org as well as on the track and field tab www.nottsaaa.org/landingpage/tf-county-champs-2022. The closing date for all entries is Friday, 22nd April.
New Track and Field League for Notts: Notts AAA have come up with a proposal for a track and field league which will be an opportunity for older athletes to compete against the youngsters. Dates for meetings are 24 April and 29 May at Newark, and 26 June and 4 September at Mansfield. More details to follow on Facebook when these are received.
For those in the Attenborough/Chilwell area, the grass track at Chilwell Olympia is now marked out on the field on the Long Lane side!

Club runs
Friday, 8 April: 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. The run will be a 5.5 mile loop round the Attenborough Nature Reserve. Toilets and changing rooms are available at Chilwell Olympia.
Saturday, 9 April: Beeston AC takes over Beeston parkrun, 9.00 am at the Weirfields, Beeston Rylands NG9 1LZ http://www.parkrun.org.uk/beeston/. See you there, hopefully wearing your club vest!
Sunday, 10 April: Please meet at 8.50 am for a 9.00 am start from Beeston Marina Boathouse Café – a little trip to Clifton Grove is planned.
Tuesday, 12 April: The speed session: now that the lighter evenings are here these will normally take place at the Moor Lane running track, NG9 3FH (though there may sometimes be hills elsewhere!). Further details of the session will be posted on Facebook. Sessions start at 6.30 pm; please arrive early to warm up if appropriate.
Wednesday, 13 April: please arrive at 6.25 for 6.30 pm depart, Chilwell Olympia. Neil will post the routes on Facebook as usual.
Gaby Neher is also leading trail runs on Thursdays, 6.30 pm, meeting point to be confirmed on Facebook. This week it’s the tram terminus near Bardills, Toton Lane NG9 7JA.
