5. Well done and thanks

To everyone participating in races in the last week, including the 11 who represented the club at the Worksop Summer League on at the same time as the England semi-final. Congratulations to the fell runners at Black Rock as well, and quite a few of you who got up early for the Sunrise 5K. A special mention to those who undertook the Triple 7 parkrun challenge last Saturday, some even cycling in between the runs on a really hot day. Many thanks also to David Patrick and family for the invite to the annual garden party for runners in Beeston; everyone had a lovely afternoon.

6. Bingham Track Session, Wednesday 15th August: message from Nottinghamshire Athletics Network

Information is attached about an evening of track races to be held at Bingham Track on Wed 15th August. These races are aimed at encouraging road runners who compete in the Notts AAA Road Race League to have a go at running over accurately measured distances on a track. These races are NOT promoted for experienced track runners and entries from juniors are NOT encouraged. A maximum of 20 runners will be accepted in each race. Entries should be made by email and will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

If you would like to do this please see the poster for details of how to enter; a few of us went last year and had an enjoyable evening.

Hi all, I am arranging Catherine and Andy’s leaving do. They are moving to New Zealand and we need to give them a good send-off even though we all feel sad that they are leaving Beeston behind.
