5. Well done: to everyone who ran and raced over the holiday period including a couple of fell races; a lot of people turned up for the Christmas and New Year’s Day parkruns, doing the double and, in one case, a treble!

6. Good luck: to everyone doing the XC County Champs at Wollaton Park – entry list at www.nottsaaa.org – 25 participants! If anyone fancies coming to support, we would love to see you at the top of those muddy hills!

7. Other Cross Country Events

The National Cross Country Championships will be at Harewood House near Leeds on Saturday, 23 February. Dan has a plan for people to drive up (car sharing if possible) with the option of a stop-over in Leeds (Premier Inn, Leeds City Centre, Whitehall Road is suggested) on Saturday. Please email Dan Rawson if you would like to go and he will send in entries – cost £8 but would like to hear from you by this weekend at the latest.
